World Record 5000 Mile Solo Row from Hawaii to Australia

In the summer of 2020, after my father died by suicide, I rowed a 7-meter boat from California to Hawaii.

2,700 miles, all alone, for 71 days.

I wasn’t a rower. I had never even been out to sea.

But I had a mission - to share my story, inspire others, and raise funds for education. I called this mission the United World Challenge.

I returned home so moved by this experience, and I realized there’s so much more we can do together - so much more the ocean can teach us.

That’s why, this November, I’m getting back in my boat to cross the rest of the Pacific Ocean: a world record attempt to row 5,000 miles from Hawaii to Australia, non-stop.

Along the way, I’ll share the story to raise funds and action to help solve ocean plastic. And gather missing data to understand how climate change affects our world.

If we don’t act now, we'll soon have more plastic than fish in our oceans.

But it’s not too late…

With your support, the United World Challenge will accelerate the work of our nonprofit partners to build river barriers in the most polluted regions of the world preventing plastic from flowing to sea.

Every dollar we raise prevents 30 bottles from entering our oceans.

And by the time I reach Australia, we aim to have stopped millions of pounds of plastic from polluting the ocean forever.

While I spend 4 months alone at sea, rowing for the health of our oceans, will you join our movement by making a gift to our ocean plastic fund today?

Let's accelerate the solutions our planet needs!
